Students should be able to read 5 new sight words by the end of each week. Please support your child at home!
in room 36, students should work to master lists 1-12 below by april.
Each student should be learning 5 new words each week at home! It is up to parents to select the 5 new words that their children need to practice. A sight word is not mastered until it can be read instantly. I will be assessing the students in the classroom periodically, but the words will need to be practiced and learned in the home environment. Just a couple minutes each day should do the trick! Find a system that works best for you. If you need help developing a sight word homework routine, please just let me know--I'm happy to help!
